Go Green in March!

What better day to kick off our Go Green in March campaign than Saint Patrck's Day? No matter where you look today you're bound to see some green, heck, some of you are probably even wearing green!

All month long, we'll be posting, tweeting and blogging in an effort to spread the word and help educate as many people as we can about how important it is to know what you're putting on your skin. More people than ever are paying attention to what they're putting INTO their bodies but it's just as important to pay attention to what you're putting ONTO your body.

Consider this:

  • Your skin is your largest organ and whatever you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream. (One square inch of skin contains up to 4.5 meters of blood vessels).
  • The average person uses 9-10 personal care products daily. (The average is 6 for men)
  • The chemicals we rinse off in the shower get flushed down the drain and can contaminate our water and aquatic ecosystems.

So it's really important to read the labels and know what you're slathering on yourself! We're exposed to so much in our environment that we can't control. But, with a little bit of effort and education, why not limit the exposure we can control?

As Lani has said since the very beginning,"if you can't eat it, you probably shouldn't be putting it on your skin".(She's so darn smart!)

We solemnly pledge that no Simple Sugars products contain any harmful chemicals and that every single ingredient has a potential benefit for your skin! Get some, get smooth and have one less thing to worry about!
